Things to know before visiting Granada
It is possible that at some point you have considered visiting the city of Granada. Not only for the fame and beauty of the Alhambra, but also for the charm and places that can be discovered in the city. But there are some things to know before visiting Granada so that your visit does not have any unforeseen events. Which could negatively influence your overall perception of the city.
To avoid this, read on and make your whole experience so positive that when you leave you will only be thinking about when you will be able to repeat your visit.

WHAT TO KNOW BEFORE VISITING GRANADA
The first thing you should know before visiting Granada, is that it is a very affordable city for any pocket. Obviously, if we look for four-star hotels or restaurants in more touristy or busy areas, we will spend more money. But if you are looking for a more affordable trip both in accommodation and food, it is easily possible.
As far as accommodation is concerned, it is easy to find a hostel or guesthouse where you will not need to spend more than 10€ a night. In addition, there are many museums and monuments that you can visit without spending anything on admission.
Lunch or dinner can cost you about 5€ more or less. And that’s thanks to another thing you have to take into account before visiting Granada, which is the tapas system. It is common when ordering a beer or soft drink, that it is always accompanied by some food, either a sandwich or a portion.
But it is clear that not all bars are the same and not in all of them, you can enjoy a large size tapa. It should always be remembered that as it is something that is done on a completely voluntary basis, therefore, should not be demanded or think that all are served the same type of tapas.
That said, there are some areas, for example, around the universities where the quantities are larger, but the elaboration of the tapas is more basic. However, walking down any street in the historic center we can find plenty of bars to fully enjoy the gastronomy.
THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE VISITING GRANADA
Focusing on other aspects, such as the places to discover in the city. It is true that there are several emblematic sites such as the Alhambra itself or if we think of viewpoints, the first that comes to mind is the San Nicolas. Both are places that you must visit, however, we don’t want you to stop there. You should let yourself be carried away by its streets and discover very special neighborhoods where you will discover museums, churches and many other things that will make you fall in love. For example, if you walk through the Albaicin neighborhood, besides enjoying different perspectives of the Alhambra, you will see the famous cave houses. Or in the Realejo neighborhood, where you can see the old Jewish quarter.
On the other hand, we are not going to say much about the viewpoints, since in another of our entries you can see some of the most worth knowing. To enjoy the panoramic views of the Alhambra, Sierra Nevada and the whole city at his feet.

Finally, keep in mind that you should purchase your Alhambra tickets well in advance, as they sell out very quickly. But if you have arrived too late, we recommend that you resort to private agencies. In addition to making the purchase formalities, they will offer you a closer attention in case of any question or problem that may arise. But if you still cannot find availability for that day, your only option is to go directly to the ticket office and buy the ticket there. The monument always sells a limited number of tickets for the same day. The only thing you will have to do is go at 8 in the morning and wait in line, to make sure that you and your companions do not run out of tickets.
